Paternoster

PaternosterPaternoster is one of the last traditional fishing villages on the West Coast. It is stretched along an 8km unspoiled white sandy beach. Paternoster was named after a prayer uttered by the first European sailors to touch land here, from Portugal.

A place not to miss during your trip to South Africa. It is one of the most romantic and peaceful places on this scenic and wonderful coastline.

Paternoster offers many activities: sea kayaking; whale, dolphin, seal and penguin watching; walks along the sandy beach or among the boulders. Or enjoy a leisurely lunch in a quaint beach restaurant set in an historic 108 year old fisherman’s cottage right on the beach.
